Climate Energy Ltd is a private commercial organisation dedicated to facilitating the installation of Energy Efficiency measures across the United Kingdom, which was established in 2000. Its portfolio of measures covers all standard conservation measures including insulation, efficient boiler programmes, distribution of low energy lighting and promotion of appliances, promotion of energy efficiency in schools, plus more recently programmes to cover the installation of renewable technologies using Solar, Biomass, Geothermal and shortly wind as their fuel sources.
Our activities are general split between the social domestic sector, the private domestic sector, and small businesses (SME’s) in all over the British Isles, especially in the Boroughs of Southend on Sea, Brentwood, Castle Point, Rochford, Chelmsford, and Colchester. The Districts of Basildon, Braintree, Epping Forest, Harlow, Maldon, Tendring, Thurrock, and Uttlesford. The Energy Centre offers free, impartial, and locally relevant energy efficiency advice to all home occupiers throughout the county of Essex, enabled many interested clients to reduce CO2 emissions, save money by reducing their fuel bills, eliminating fuel poverty and improving energy efficiency.
Additionally Climate Energy Ltd seeks active partnerships with Local Authorities, schools, communities, and SMEs who wish to enhance the profile of energy efficiency within their areas resulting in the installation of measures, Building regulations and best practice. Climate Energy brings their experience, marketing expertise, installer network and quality assurance abilities and places them at the disposal of the Local Authority, European Partnership who assists with their local area knowledge to maximise the impact of the joint efforts. 

Main Role in the project

The Climate Energy - (Essex Energy Efficiency Advice Centre) is mainly responsible for implementation and dissemination of EDUCA RUE project vertical activities in East of England region and its own local territory. Its partnership can be concluded in the following activities:
  • Analysis of EPBD implementation at local level and elaboration of a synthetic report on main findings: quantitative and qualitative assessments;
  • Drafting and final elaboration of the document; internal presentation (partners and local level);
  • Assessment of main non technological barriers at local level;
  • Identification and choice of the buildings, and energy auditing;
  • Participation to the national workshops;
  • Organization of training courses for installers, construction companies, training for trainers, students and teachers;
  • Involvement and preparation of national incentive scheme;
  • Organization of local press conferences, media and information campaign.
