Partner DescriptionFounded in 1988 the Aragonese Association of Local Authorities, ASAEL, is a non-profit organisation devoted to defend and represent the interests of local authorities in Aragón (municipalities, districts and provincial governments). Currently, ASAEL represents 350 Local Authorities scattered throughout the region of Aragón (Spain) looking for economic and social development.ASAEL, started its course with the objective of contributing to territorial development through local co-operation and giving specific answers to the needs expressed by its associates. ASAEL participates actively with the EU Parliament, the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions of the European Union. A clear example of this is the participation of ASAEL as speaker in the several D Plan sessions, in debates about Equal Opportunities, examples of Active European Citizenship Good Practices, Town-Twinnings and Local Policies in the environmental field. ASAEL has a standing office in Brussels.Some services provides by ASAEL are the following ones:
Main role in the projectASAEL coordinate Working Package number 4, Improvement of finanacial procedural tools. Moreover, ASAEL realise different task as the elaboration of local and national reports, organise training courses for different target groups, implementation of the project in an educational building or dissemination activities.
